Activity #4

On Saturday night I spent the night on my patio looking at the stars. I really enjoyed the experience that I had with this weeks activity. I, on a regular basis already get away from technology so this was an easy activity. So after looking at what had to be done this week, I knew that it was going to be an easy one.

This was an easy activity because I usually put away all technology at least once a week in order to get away from technology and to just relax without all the information coming in right in front of me (phone). I like doing these things because it is a liberating feeling for me. It lets me focus on what is in front of me and or to think over something that I really need to think about.

Doing this does not necessarily make me sleep any better or worse than usual. I am the type of person who sleeps at 3AM no matter what time I have to wake up in the morning. As long as I get at least 4 hours of sleep I am fine in the morning.

Living without electricity in my mind is organic and harmonious because it makes up pay attention to what is around us and what is right in front of us. It slows down our mind so that we only focus on what is important and not on some celebrity. Although living without technology can be a little boring at times I believe it is important to get away from it at least once a month. Because we have all of these technology right now, it is hard for us to imagine a life without it. If people back then were able to do it, I personally don't think that it's impossible. It may be hard in the beginning but we will eventually get used to it. In the end I believe it is important to get away from technology once in a while. Although it may be hard, you just need a little distraction. For example go on a hike and put your phone on silent, or even go with a friend to distract you. Its that simple.
